Marketing Your Business Through Customer Relations

So, I entered Tony's Bistro yesterday and placed a $30 order for lunch for my wife, mom and brother. Next to the cash register is a sign that reads, "NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED - INCLUDING BOTTLED WATER". My first thought is that my business isn't valued. So, if I bring my own bottled water or bag of chips you won't sell me a $6-$7 sandwich?
